Fujiya Instruments has released Junk Guitar, a free electric guitar library for NI’s Kontakt. The Junk Guitar includes 500 samples and numerous articulations.

Junk Guitar Free contains a monophonic mode for riffs and guitar solos, a polyphonic mode with a general mechanism, and a chord mode containing four types of chords.

In monophonic mode, once you press a key, it continues to sound the sample until the next note or stop noise. This is close to the actual guitar playing style, it is suitable for guitar solos and riffs. Polyphonic mode is the most standard mode.

Junk Guitar is available as a free download via Fujiya’s website. You will need Kontakt 5.8 or higher to run the instrument.

Wavesfactory has released Typewriter, a free Kontakt instrument featuring the sounds of a Royal vintage typewriter.

The typewriter was sampled at Calma Estudis in Spain. The sounds were meticulously recorded using four separate microphone positions (close stereo, stereo ribbon, mono and stereo room).

All microphones are controllable from the Mixer page with pan, width, volume, load/purge and separate outputs for each channel.

In the Effects section you can apply up to 8 different DSP effects including chorus, saturation, high quality EQ and convolution reverb with more than 40 custom impulses.

From the Settings page you can set the number of round robin repetitions, tweak the release volume, velocity curve and pre-shift or pre-roll of each sample individually.

Recorded with 3 velocity layers and 10 round robin, not only the keys but also paper noises and typewriter hits, rolls and much more. Separate note on and note off samples and one shots as well.
