Pechenegfx has released Pecheneg Tremolo, a free VST plugin for Windows and Mac.

The Pecheneg VST plugin is a tremolo effect, which has the possibility to adjust the shape of the tremolo modulating curve and to synchronize the frequency with a host, or set it manually.

When synchronizing with a host (Tempo: host), the tremolo frequency is adjusted by the knob, which sets the modulation period, while the note type (regular, dotted or triplet) can be selected below the knob. When set manually (Tempo: man), the tremolo frequency (in Hz) can be set directly with the knob.

The Shape, Phase and Symm knobs set the wave form of the modulation, with the amount of modulation set by the Depth knob.

The VST can be downloaded for free directly, however donations are welcomed.

Adam Monroe Music has released Adam Monroe’s Delay, a free effect plugin for Windows and Mac.

The plugin allows the user to simulate a number of delay effects including simple slapback, bubbly and experimental delays.

A delay VST AU or AAX plugin effect isn’t that difficult to program – delay effects are relatively simple algorithms to implement. The interesting part is how to implement and manipulate simple concepts to produce interesting results.

Presets include short delay times, which create slapback and doubling effects, to longer delays, and filtered delays that begin to approach the sound of reverb. Some of the delay presets can be used to “thicken” up a signal, as they approach chorus times without pitch-shifting

The minimum and maximum delay time ranges from 0 to 1 second, and the feedback ranges from 0 to infinite. The plugin supports sample rates from 44.1 to 192 kHz and does this by detecting the current sample rate and utilizing appropriate buffer lengths (as opposed to sample rate conversion). Filtering is accomplished through a 3rd-party library, and because of this, it’s recommended to use 44.1 kHz, as the filtering library doesn’t sound quite the same at higher sample rates.

RaPG is an analog-style arpeggiator that can be run at audio rate for a quirky sound generator or locked to a tempo to generate inspiring melodic and rhythmic phrases based on a seed-based random sample-and-hold.

Rhythm and Pitch Generator Features:

• Use the MASTER RATE knob to increase the arpeggiator to insane speeds or slow it down for dying-battery fx. There is an option to have the rate also control pitch for this very effect!
• Set clock dividers to various desired beat patterns and let RaPG arrange them into a series of rhythms.
