We’ve looked up the music community’s favorite musical keys (according to Spotify data), and created a pack of over 100 correlating drones for any genre of music. Drawing from three inspiring sources, we’ve created a sample pack that will make a great addition to your personal collection.
The first set of drones are taken from RAW analog synth recordings (Korg Volca Keys) and edited to create bite-sized fragments of sound. The second source is a public domain Gamelan recording from the 1930s that has been edited and processed through a magical FX chain. And finally, we’ve taken a field recording (quite literally a recording of a field) and processed it through a couple of resonators to create a unique mix of natural and digital sounds.
If you’re looking for ways to use these recordings we would advise you put them low in the mix of your track and make sure you are using the correct root note. These samples where made to be subtle yet effective and are a great way to add an extra dimension to your music.
All the files are as-is and have not been filtered or mastered in any way. We encourage you to stretch them further. Slice them, dice them and process them to create your own soundscapes and motifs.
The sample pack is available via Bandcamp and costs £2. To preview the sounds and buy the pack, check out the link below.
